Equestrian horses, leisure-horses, ponies, non-working equestrian horses, polo-horses or horses at-rest can be fed like any other horse; just see that the quantities of compound feed are reduced.
However, in the HAVENS Product-range we have 3 special "Oats-free lo-calorie" horsefeed-products that are particularly fitt for for these type of "non" or "less"-working-horses.

HAVENS Cool-Mix / Muesli-without-Oats contains ± 17.5% hulled spelt-wheat (see photo right).
Spelt wheat ("Dinkel" or "Triticum Spelta") is probably one of the oldest grains is the world. Spelt has a tough hull, or husk, that makes it more difficult to process than modern wheat varieties. However, the hull not only protects the kernel, but helps retain nutrients, maintain freshness and provide healthy fibers to stimulate the horses digestion.
Modern wheat has changed dramatically over the decades as it has been bred to be easier to grow and harvest, to increase yield, and to have a high gluten content for the production of high-volume commercial baked goods. Unlike wheat, spelt has retained many of its original traits and remains highly nutritious and full of flavor.
In HAVENS Cool-Mix / Muesli-without-Oats, we only use organic grown speltwheat (from the federal state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany) that is non-dehulled. Thus, it provides a healthy source of proteins, energy ánd fibers for all horses.

Slobber-Mash with extra Linol
A very palatable diet muesli with a low calorie-level recommended for older horses (with chewing problems) for horses with digestive problems or equine colic, but also for active stallions and mares (to improve fertility). Best to be used with water (but can also be fed dry). Soak 1 part of slobber mash with 1 part of water for 15-20 minutes.
