a unique molasses-free muesli
Due to more and more horses seem to suffer health problems like insulin resistance and laminitis; there is a rising demand for products that are molasses-free and low in sugar.
Therefore HAVENS developed a new muesli: Natural Balance – a product with multiple unique features and broad application:
No added sugars and completely free of molasses.
This muesli contains no added sugars and molasses. Even the vitamin cubes are produced without molasses! This makes the muesli highly suitable for sober breeds and horses that are prone to laminitis, summer itch and insulin resistance. Sugar content of the muesli is 2,8% (molasses 0%). The contained sugars come are sugars which are naturally present in the grains.
Optimal omega 3/6 ratio.
Omega 3 fatty acids are essential fatty acids that can have a positive influence on health when they are in proper ratio to omega 6. Feed with a correct omega 3/6 ratio can contribute to an improved fertility, stamina, hoof quality, skin, fur, ability to concentrate and performance.
Extra fiber.
The high fiber level and coarse composition of the muesli stimulate chewing. A lot of chewing results in a high saliva production. Saliva neutralizes fluctuations in pH caused by feed. Therefore this muesli is particularly suitable for horses sensitive to stomach ulcer developments and/or stress.
With spelt-wheat.
Spelt wheat with natural glucosamine. Glucosamine plays an important role in the development and regeneration of cartilage which is important for flexible and vital joints. Suitable for horses with arthrosis.
contains garlic.
Garlic is traditionally one of the most used herbs due to its many attributed positive effects on health. Garlic is also very suitable for horses that are troubled by insects, horseflies and flies.
Oats-free.
This muesli is completely oats-free and therefore very suitable for horses that are allergic to oats and can be a solution for nervous horses and ponies..
There is no need to feed large amounts of the Natural Balance, since it is very concentrated with regards to energy, vitamins, minerals and trace-elements. And because you can feed less, your horse and pony has an even lower sugar-intake!!
